The trackways in the Paluxy River, near Glen Rose, Texas, that record the ancient passage of Acrocanthosaurus and Pluerocoelus are now a popular tourist attraction.

Karen visited the trackways several times while working on her "Glen Rose Confrontation" mural and on her large bronze sculpture. These two earlier works led to Karen's work on "Dinosaur Hunt."
