Bill and Karen collaborated on the extensive mural series for the Illinois Lewis & Clark State Historical Site.

The series covers thousands of square feet of wallspace and shows the Corps of Discovery in a variety of tasks and locations throughout their journey.

In this image, Bill Carr shows Meriwether Lewis preparing for the journey, accompanied by his dog, Seaman. Seaman, a Newfoundland, traveled with the corps throughout their epic journey.
