Description: |

The Jurassic mural at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is more than 2 stories tall, and is composed of more than 60 individual printed panels showing Karen's painted image. Standing two stories tall and more than 60 feet in length, the mural features a clash between Jurassic dinosaurs Apatosaurus and Saurophaganax (a carnivorous dinosaur similar to Allosaurus). Other animals depicted include Stegosaurus, Camptosaurus, Archaeopteryx and an early possum-like mammal.
Installation of this giant mural, and of the others at the Sam Noble, required a specially trained crew and a small fleet of high-rise construction equipment. Learn how Karen painted this amazing series by clicking on the "How I Paint" hyperlink.
